Range Reservation Pricing

Rentals have a minimum of 2 hours:

  • 9am-11am

  • 12pm-2pm

  • 3pm-5pm

Cub Scout BB Range

  • $25 per hour (minimum 2 hours = $50)

    • 2 hours of unlimited shooting

    • Sole use of the range for your group

    • BBs

    • Firearms

Cub Scout Archery Range

  • $25 per hour (minimum 2 hours = $50)

    • 2 hours of unlimited shooting

    • Sole use of the range for your group

    • Arrows

    • Archery Equipment

  • Lost arrows: $3.00 per arrow

Cub Scout Wrist Rocket Range

  • $25 per hour (minimum 2 hours = $50)

    • 2 hours of unlimited shooting

    • Sole use of the range for your group

    • Wrist rockets

    • Pellets (dog food)

    • Clothesline and two poles

    • Pie pans and clips

Rifle Range

  • $50 per hour (minimum 2 hours = $100)

    • 2 hours of unlimited shooting

    • Sole use of the range for your Unit

    • Firearms

  • Ammunition at $30 for 500 rounds of .22 ammo (Offered at our bulk purchasing rate)

Shotgun Range

  • $50 per hour (minimum 2 hours = $100)

    • 2 hours of unlimited shooting

    • Sole use of the range for your Unit

    • Firearms

  • Ammunition at $0.50 per rounds of 20ga shell and clay pigeon

Shooting Sports Rental System – Providing Own Instructors

Who: Those who wish to utilize the rental system must fulfill all the listed requirements.

  • Registered Boy Scouts of America Leader

  • Provide your ID

  • Up-to-date Youth Protection Training (YPT)

    • Must be able to produce training card when asked

  • Trained with the appropriate firearm training

    • Must be able to produce training card when asked

      • BBs/Wrist Rockets/Cub Archery – Rangemaster Training

      • Scouts BSA/Venturing Archery – NASP Level 1 Archery

      • Rifle – NRA Rifle Instructor, Range Safety Officer - RSO (Cannot be the same person, must have 1 of each)

      • Shotgun NRA Shotgun Instructor, Range Safety Officer - RSO (Cannot be the same person, must have 1 of each)

  • Must have reviewed the Council Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prior to arriving at camp and mark that complete on the Request Form above.

What: These are the items that can be rented from each of the camps (Beaumont, Firelands)

  • Cub Scouts:

    • Archery

    • BBs

    • Wrist Rockets

  • Scouts BSA and Older:

    • Rifle

    • Shotgun

    • Archery

When:

  • Reservations must be made at least one month to your arrival at camp.

  • Rental Reservations must be made in advance by filling out the request form at the top of this page. They cannot be made the day of at camp.

Where:

  • Check-in at Camp:

    • Camp Host Building

      • Your unit must check in to the Camp Host Building in order to inform the camp hosts that you have arrived on the property. DO NOT go directly to the ranges.

      • The Camp Host will contact the Camp Ranger about getting you checked in and providing the necessary equipment.

How:

  • Making the Reservation:

    • Please fill out the reservation form at the top of this page.

    • Reservations must be made at least one month prior to your arrival at camp.

  • Documentation must be provided when making the reservation (For ALL running range):

    • BSA ID Number

    • Personal ID (Driver’s License)

    • Verification of BSA Membership

    • YPT Certification

    • Firearms Training Certifications

  • Review Online:

    • SOPs

  • At Camp:

    • Step 1: Check-in at the Camp Host building

    • Step 2: Provide your documentation to the Camp Ranger to Verify

      • ID Card (Driver’s License)

      • YPT Card

      • Firearms Training Cards

      • Copy of signed SOP agreement

    • Step 3: Arrive at Range & Review state of the equipment:

      • Make sure all equipment is there.

      • Make sure that equipment is in working condition and make note if something is broken.

    • Step 4: Set-up & Review Safety of Range.

      • Complete a walkthrough of the range to make sure that everything is in place and safe.

    • Step 5: Run the Range.

    • Step 6: Close the Range.

      • Make sure that everything is back in the right place.

    • Step 7: Return equipment to its proper place and close the door. Check-out with Camp Host, who will inform the Camp Ranger that you are done with the range(s).

      • Note anything that may have broken.

      • Note item that may be low (bbs, arrows, ect.)

      • Sign the check-out sheet.
